As part of our ongoing mission to make Immanuel as inclusive and welcoming as Christ would have us be, we are launching a capital campaign to make our beloved building handicapped accessible. This will include repairing or replacing the exterior wheelchair ramp, adding an elevette to service all three floors, and renovating the bathroom to make it handicap friendly. We estimate this to need just $150,000.
To turn this vision into reality, we celebrate a wonderful kick-start offer brought to us by Paul and Joyce Vick, who have committed to matching any donations made toward our campaign during 2017, up to $7500. To date, $2500 has already been given toward this challenge! In addition, the Board of Ministry is looking into grant opportunities as a path toward our goal.
It is our hope that everyone will find a way to invest in our future together – through your presence and through any financial support you are able to bring over these next months. We have faith that God is already at work uncovering the resources needed to make certain that Immanuel Baptist is open to ALL who would come, and we are excited to be part of this future as it unfolds.
